Happy Thanksgiving Day
In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving Day this weekend, almost one month before it will be celebrate in the States by millions of Americans.
An important date to celebrate and be thankful for all we have.
Most of the time, people focus on what they want to have and own, but it’s true, we should be paying more attention to all we already have.

It’s time to stop for a moment, and think on what we have and be thankful.
Focus on what we already have and not on we lack of, it’s a good way to start everyday.
Why be thankful will help you to be happier and healthier.
Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. In the process, people usually recognize that the source of that goodness lies at least partially outside themselves. As a result, gratitude also helps people connect to something larger than themselves as individuals — whether to other people, nature, or a higher power. -Harvard Health Publications.
On this Harvard Health Publications you can read about an experiment they did, asking a group of person to write every day about the good and happy things that happened in their lives, they asked a second group to write every day about things that happened in their lives and made them to fell mad and frustrated, a third group wrote about things that happened in their lives with no pointed if those things made them happy or mad.
They noticed the first group were happier than the other two groups, they also noticed people on first group were more willing to do exercise in daily basis and they had to attend less to medical appointments.
How can you start to be more thankful.
Keep a gratitude journal
Take time to write down every day about the good things that happened that day to you. 3 or 5 sentences will be enough, they could be about small things like weather was nice to big happenings on your life. Any thing that happens and makes you happy is good to write about it.
It could be hard for you to write down about good things happening in your life at the beginning, it will become easier with time, every day will get easier to write about it.
Any time you go through hard times on your life, or any time you find hard to accomplish any task, read about all the good things that had happened to you and you will read also you had been able to accomplish hard tasks before, your gratitude journal will give you the strength you need to keep on.
Focus on the Good and Positive side of life.
Bad and hard things happens to all of us, I’m sure you are a strong person and you can make it,
No matter what is going on on this planet right now, keeping a gratitude journal will help you to keep focused on the good things around you and the good things you do every day.
Learning to see the good and the beauty in life is a task many of us were not taught to, but it’s never to late to start put our attention on them.
Be thankful in the moment.
With time you will learn as I have, to pay attention on what is going on around you, and you will see and notice more good things happens in your life that you thought it did.
Any time you notice something good and happy happens to you, take a moment and be thankful.
