How To Be Happy

The last two weeks took me to a point where I had to question myself if the world has become too crazy for me or for many of us.

My best friend was a psychologist, he was also a great life coach and teacher, he used to share his knowledge with everyone.

Tomorrow would be his birthday, he passed away 3 years ago, it could seems he is still here with his friends sharing what he loved more, “the joy of life”

Today I would like to share with you some of what I learned from him.

How to be happy

The Joy Of Being Happy.

To explain it, I will talk first about what not to do in order to become happy.

Smile.

I have read it takes more muscles of your face to be mad or sad than when you smile, it takes 17 muscles of the face to put a smile on your face and eyes, yes because we all smile with our eyes.

Smiling will help you to look better and will help you to your own body to feel better in many ways. For this and many other reasons to smile is much better than when you don’t.

Give Yourself  Presents.

Life sometimes is hard, you work so hard everyday, and you need to do a lot to accomplish everyday task, and if you work and also you’re a mom, your work every day is double.

Once in a while, you deserve to give yourself a prize, small or big achievements means a lot to you!

Sometimes nobody will give you thumbs up when you do something right, don’t wait until this happens, reward yourself!!

There are many ways to give yourself a reward for your daily work, a coffee you love, a walk with your husband, 10 minutes nap, or just what you might have in your mind and you won’t give it to yourself just because you think you don’t deserve it. If it is good for yourself and you can afford it, go for it!.

Exercise

So many reasons you can read about how good is exercise for yourself, today when you go for your check up to your doctor, he or she will recommend to do exercise.

If you don’t do any exercise, you can start doing just 10 minutes walk every day, and after one or two weeks try to add 5 more minutes, in one month you will reach the goal of doing 30 minutes walk.

There is no complain about not doing this, even the weather, if you live in the north of this beautiful planet, you will face the cold winter months, and you might think, there is no way to go out for a walk during winter, well, I have a good tip for you, every time you go to buy some groceries, do a walk inside of the store, and if you go to Walmart o another big store, I’m sure they don’t mind seeing people doing two or three laps in the stores, you will find there is enough room inside the store and with good weather.

If you need to stay at home, you can watch some videos on YouTube to do from 15, 30 or even 45 minutes or more walk work out at home. 

Love Yourself.

Have you seen those tv commercial when women are asked if they love themselves, and each woman answer they don’t, these people ask to people these women know and everyone of them can tell them how beautiful and great they are, to surprise of these women, they can find they are more beautiful compared to what they used to think they were.

It’s never too late to look at you with a different point of view, don’t be so hard on yourself, you are beautiful and great, and you are able to accomplish so many great things everyday.

It’s time to love yourself. Be gentle with yourself and remember you’re beautiful.

Be Positive

Ha, it’s so easy to step on this point every time you face something that doesn’t work like the way it should be, life is hard, life is bad, and I could go on and on.

Many people are talking about how life can turn easier if you focus on the positive side of life, and when you see something hard to do as a challenge and not as impossible, you might find the way to do it, and if you can’t do it by yourself, is ok to ask for help.

There are so many articles written about how to be positive, you might not believe on it at the beginning, but if you give yourself the chance to try it, you might be surprised it works, it’s always better to be positive than negative.

Make Some Good Friendship.

There are so many things you can do by yourself, and you are right, but then you see the benefits of being more friendly and start making some good alliances at work and in life, life can be easier and happier.

You can find your job will be easier to accomplish when you can count on a group of colleges or friends to give you a hand in those tough moments, and you can do the same for them.

So now you have these 7 points to make your life happier and easier.
